 Their produce is proudly grown on 800 acres of family farm, established in the Hudson Valley, and then delivered fresh, daily to our restaurant here in Brooklyn. Black Horse Farms's produce, particularly their tomatoes and sweet corn are famous throughout the area.

BULICH MUSHROOM FARM  • CATSKILL, NY

Mushrooms:  white buttons, cremini, oysters, shitakes

Bulich Farm is the only cultivated mushroom farm located in New York state. Their mushrooms are organically grown, though not certified, in indoor temperature controlled barns on their 700-acre farm.

CONTINENTAL ORGANICS  •  NEW WINDSOR, NY

Produce: arugula, salad mix  

Continental Organics is a “Zero Waste” agriculture company that has pioneered new, sustainable ways of growing fish and produce in a closed-loop facility that includes recirculating aquaponics systems, indoor and outdoor vegetable cultivation and compost manufacture. They harvest fifty-three varieties of produce, fish, as well as dry and liquid compost; located just 15 miles north of West Point in the beautiful Hudson Valley on a former dairy farm. The company is a certified 8-A; Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (“SDVOSB”), with sixty percent of their employees being Veterans.

PHILLIPS FARM  •  WEST MILFORD, NJ

Produce: kale, beefsteak tomatoes

Established in the mid-1800s, Phillips Farms began as a typical small farm in the country raising a little bit of everything. Today the farm has grown to over 200-acres and feeds thousands of families by bringing their farm-fresh food to local farmer's markets. Recently sanctioned by the state of New Jersey as part of the Garden State Farmland Preservation Trust Program, meaning their farm is protected so that future generations can enjoy the benefits of fresh, local food.

Apples

Mead Orchards is a family owned 180-acre fruit orchard and vegetable farm since 1916 in the beautiful Mid-Hudson River Valley. They grow about 40 varieties of apples, and other fruits such as peaches, pears, plums, cherries, strawberries and other berries. They also cultivate a wide variety of delicious greens, including summer vegetables, winter squashes, and pumpkins.

Hepworth Farms is a certified Organic Farm, and use no GMO products with strict controls while maintaining all certified organic protocols. But that doesn't mean they're on the anti-GMO bandwagon. They take feeding the planet as a serious job and responsibility for those in Agriculture.

MIGLIORELLO FARM   •   TIVOLI,NY

Produce


Migliorelli Farm is a family-run fruit and vegetable farm located in Northern Dutchess County in the Hudson Valley. Originating in the Bronx in 1933, the Migliorellis peddled their vegetables by horse and cart, all around the Bronx from sun up to sun down. The family later moved to the Hudson Valley and is now in its 3rd generation.  Migliorelli Farm grows over 130 diverse varieties of fruits and vegetables. In 1998, Ken Migliorelli sold all developing rights of his farm to be protected through the Scenic Hudson Conservation Easement, thus forever providing scenic beauty, wholesome food to the green markets of NYC and their local community.

CATSKILL MOUNTAINS SUGAR HOUSE •  GRAHAMSVILLE, NY

Maple syrup

Every delicious drop of Maple syrup is produced on their 800-acre farm nestled in the beautiful Catskill Mountains, between the Rondout Reservoir and The Sundown/ Denman Mountain Wild Forest. Their unique location provides their maple orchards with the clean air and pure water necessary for the trees to produce the purest maple sap. They do not tap road-side trees, and their sugar bush locations and operating protocols allow organic certification by USDA and NOFA. It's their family's pleasure to give everyone a new appreciation—or a reminder—of how good “real” maple syrup can be.

Fresh eggs

Located in Bethel, NY, Brey's Egg Farm prides itself on bringing high-quality eggs to its customers, serving the Catskills locally, but also package their eggs for wholesalers in New York City and other North Eastern regions. They've recently renovated their coops and outfitted them with state-of-the-art technology, this gives every chicken the deserved space while creating a community-living environment.

SULLIVAN COUNTY CHICKEN FARMS  •  SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY

Chickens

Their New York State heirloom chickens are free-roaming in Sullivan County, where their farmers have been them since 1982. They are fed a special diet of corn, canola seeds, and soybeans; and are patiently raised at a much slower rate than commercial chickens. Their collection of farms ensures sustainability of the land and its soil. Plus, these chickens are honestly the most beautiful roasting chickens.

SULLIVAN COUNTY TROUT FARM  •  FORESTBURGH, NY

Trout

They raise their trout in Sullivan County, where the fresh water of the Catskills makes this hatchery a perfect source for delicious, sustainable fish. Fresh water is sourced from a local brook that is routed down a hill through a series of ponds. The trout are then carefully released through the series of ponds until they are ready for harvest.

FISCHER ISLAND OYSTER FARM  •   FISCHER ISLAND,NY

Oysters

Fisher Island Oyster Farm is a marine-based family farm operating from Fishers Island, NY, a small island located in Block Island Sound off the coasts of eastern Connecticut and Rhode Island.  They've grown and sold oysters directly to consumers for more than 20 years, offering personalized service, high-quality, and the freshness that are hallmarks of their product. Their unique Quality Assurance Program minimizes out of the water time and includes microbiological testing by an accredited USDA laboratory. All oysters are grown in the pristine oceanic waters of the Block Island Sound. The combination of both the cool, high-salinity waters of the Sound and their farm techniques, result in a firm, sweet meat with excellent brine and produce an oyster with a deep cup for its size.
